The flagship programme “Care for Caregivers,” funded by the HKEX Foundation, was officially launched on 9 March. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Chris Sun, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare; Mr. Carlson Tong, Chairman of HKEX; and Mr. Paul Chow, Group General Counsel and Group Chief Sustainability Officer of HKEX.
Thank you for the HKEX Foundation's generous support. Christian Family Service Centre has established the Carer Community Support Team in the Kwun Tong District to provide strengthened, holistic support for individuals caring for elderly family members.
Our holistic services include:
- Family-based case management
- Outreach, emergency, and practical support services
- Guidance on long-term care planning
- A diverse range of workshops and support groups
- District-based Carer Support Stations
- Innovative technology for enhanced community safety
To further safeguard at-risk households - including the elderly and persons with disabilities - the programme will install smart accident-detection systems that can detect falls and other emergencies. These technologies provide carers with greater peace of mind, even when they are unable to stay by their care recipient’s side at all times.
CFSC is committed to building a warmer, more carer-friendly community in Kwun Tong. By alleviating caregiving pressures and improving carers’ overall well-being, the programme ensures that carers feel supported - and never alone - on their caregiving journey.
